Like mother, like daughter

Every morning, or at least nearly every morning, I get up around 5:30ish and go running. Since it still is freezing in utah, I always wear a warm running outfit, a hat and a ear warmer headband. The hat is to keep my head warm and the headband is to keep the headphones in my ears. (Earbuds never stay in while I am running, it is very annoying). Anyway, it is basically the same routine every morning.
Abby usually wakes up with me, but I put her back in bed with daddy while I run...I never thought she paid such close attention to me until I found her in the kitchen the other day.

This is what I found...

She found my headband and my MP3 player and was trying to stick the ear buds in her ears when I found her. This was beyond adorable and it really made me think about how much children learn by example.

She was able to recreate in her 1-year-old way exactly what she saw me doing.

What a wake up call!

Everything I say, everything I do, Abby sees.
I really want to make a better effort of reading my scriptures in front of her, praying with her and teaching her the good things in life...
Although, running is an awesome thing.
